About me and my Cape Cod hand poured soy candles...

Lighting a candle for me emotes a feeling of calm, coziness, light, and warmth.  I am a native Cape Codder and my love of candles started at a young age when lighting candles to be put on the mantle of my childhood home.  It was then that my Dad said to me, " You really are a true romantic."  At that time I had no idea what he meant, but as I got older I realized he was right! 

My love of the only place I have called home inspired the name Cape Sea Candles. I grew up going to Seagull beach in West Yarmouth with my mom and siblings and her friends and their families.  I also spent many summer days boating on Bass River with my family on my Dad's 1976 Robalo named 4 ME. The beauty of Cape Cod never ceases to amaze me and I am blessed to be able to raise my three sons here. Sadly my father passed of small cell lung cancer after an eight month battle in October of 2015.  A few months after my Dad's diagnosis my sister was diagnosed with breast cancer ( as a mom of three young children) and has thankfully been cancer free for five years. This past May we lost my sweet Mom unexpectedly from her second battle with  breast cancer that she bravely fought for three and a half years.  For my parents, and the many other close family members and friends who have fought or passed from cancer I will be donating a portion of my Cape Cod Candles profits to Cape Wellness Collaborative. Cape Wellness provides free of charge integrative therapies and support for those facing cancer in our community.  Making candles has been very therapeutic for dealing with my grief and bringing me comfort. It's my hope that my Cape Cod candles create a time for you to reflect on the good memories you treasure, and a calming light to guide you through your darker days.
